Facade of the gorgeous neo-Gothic cathedral

Santa Ana, the old capital of El Salvador, is a small city with a few pretty things to see.  Everyone we met in Santa Ana was “muy amable” (“very friendly”) as they say here.

Parque Central

Luckily it also has a lot of great food and ice cream, which helped me celebrate my 25th birthday right!

Birthday pizza at the aptly named “Good Pizza” restaurant.
